I met my boyfriend on xbox live - it wasn't one of those he was hitting on me and I fell for it though. We played together for six years before (and hung out about once every year).

But there are definitely pros and cons to having a girlfriend who plays - she's more likely to understand that video games aren't the devil (I had a coworker give me a whole when my boyfriend and I move in together he needs to stop playing when I get home talk lecture thing. I just laughed). My boyfriend is literally playing SC2 as I am on here and I couldn't give a fuck.

But she might be a fake and say she plays but then sucks.

Just as a side note: I don't play much more, but when I have free time I play - and I miss playing quite a bit. Some games I play often include: Bioshock, Halo (I played Halo 2 all day every day for hours..holy crap I miss those days). L4D (I like 2 more). I play CoD but it's not really a favorite, I find it very redundant.

I enjoy ninja games, rpgs, first person shooters, war strategies and some puzzle games/zombie/horror games. I'm a girl and I play games... only play old games tho like Dreamcast, GC and original Xbox ones, but not to be "retro", for the reason that I haven't been able to afford a 360 or a good PC for years. Although next week I'm buying a 360, but I guess I'll still be playing old 360 games that I didn't have the chance to when they were released.

There are girls out there who plays games besides the annoying ones. I'm not always broadcasting to the world what games I'm playing, so maybe when you get to know girls, you'll find out that actually they really enjoy playing games. I've gone to local and not-so-local tournaments though, nothing compares to the feeling you get from it. I went to one on Sunday and came 2nd in an MvC3 tournament; it ended up being 2-1 and my good friend came first.

My first game was Pokemon on the gameboy, but I got in PC and played Day of Defeat and WoW etc.
Then I discovered console shooters and my shit got fucked. I've had my 360 for almost 5 years, I'm adddiiiicted.
Did I mention I'm an only child? It was me who wanted my 360 (or any console for that matter, I owned PS2 and original XBOX) for myself, and after I was so addicted I found myself stuck playing my only game at the time (COD2) upwards of 12hours a day. Since then I've played a lot more obviously. My gamerscore is only a bit over 19000 however that's cause I play a lot of multiplayer as well.
