See, this is the question that's been asked from the start.
"Can it beat WoW?"

The answer is a simple "maybe". Right now, we know that the game has a large map and holds more original monsters than WoW, isn't casualized like WoW (I can tell you from personal experience, rolling a priest is almost as intense as rolling any other combat class).

There's too much content really to discuss. But just looking from my screenshots, can you see how ambient the game is?

Completely feel you bro. While exploring these areas, I thought to myself, "This is what Skyrim's ambience SHOULD have been like"

Playing this game feels like rediscovering vanilla WoW, finding Blackreach in Skyrim, or even wandering around Shivering Isles in Oblivion. It's simply amazing.

Here's the kicker too: Out of all these screenshots I took, it makes up for about 30% of the current world of Tera. No joke, there's an entire west side of the world that is 70% unavailable in our current betas.

If you ordered it directly from the En Masse shop, you don't get a code, you just download the client directly from your "My account" page.

If you bought from amazon or somewhere else, I don't know.

If you bought from gamestop, they should have printed you a receipt with the code.

If you bought from Frogster for Tera EU, good luck getting your code in the next 24 hours. Frogster sucks dick.

Be warned though, if you get a beta key like this, your beta character will only be available for ONE beta, then it will be deleted. If you lay down $5 at a gamestop or preorder with money, you will get access to ALL betas, and your character will not get deleted until the end of the 5th beta (when open beta starts).

I suggest everyone who's interested in playing the Tera NA beta to get a key while you can. There are 3 more betas to go, so laying down $5 might be worth it if you plan on riding all of them out. Next scheduled beta is next week I believe.

Read the pastebin for info. /v/ and /a/ guilds are by far the largest guilds during the betas (600+ members total). If you plan on joining us, join the steam community (link's in the pastebin) and make sure you join the right server when beta starts.

NA has better service by far. En Masse literally talk like bros. They don't copy paste responses, and the actual devs answer questions and remember players from previous conversations. If I had the screencaps I would post them, but if you look around Tera generals, you'll know what I mean. They are by far the chillest GMs you'll ever meet.

Frogster has chill GM's too, but since they are a larger company that has multiple games they host, service is poor and their servers are worse.

A lot of EU bros decided to main on NA upon release, since a little lag is outweighed by awesome fucking service and a closer-knit community.

From what KR and JP players tell me:
>Mount you get from collector's is pretty good, but if you are in the top guild you get a slightly better one. However, there's currently no mount in the actual game that is a lion let alone a white one, so pre-ordering gets you a unique mount.

I'm not saying EU is bad. Frogster still hosts better than fucking Nexon or NcSoft with their bullshit customer service.

There are even /v/ and /a/ guilds in EU too, just not as big and close-knit.

That doesn't mean they can't accomplish shit though...

/a/ and /v/ basically was against the entire server outside of Velika during EU CBT1. Shit was epic, they basically prevented anyone from leaving the west gate. Anyone who stepped a foot outside would be killed in an instant.

2nd CBT was cool for NA too, but it was no-where as big as CBT1. We still managed to kill everyone on the server though.

Bit of a warning: If you don't like being ganked, don't roll on the PVP server. With the current game mechanics, guilds can be totally pussy and kill lowbies and then retreat into safe-zones to hide.

Ask anyone that played 2nd CBT in NA about it. Safezones and PVP in general needs to be reworked so guilds can't shit-talk behind a safe area without getting their shit slapped.

tera is shit. the game provides nothing new except for some overbloomed graphics. don't say combat system is unique because it's not. it's exactly like wow except that you can't really target your opponent.

using skills will stop your character so you can't jump around. when entering combat it also slows you down, lol. most of the skills are lock on to monsters or players automatically.

pvp is shit. no penalty for dying except for corpse run. UI is shit. no castbar wtf?

damn shame really because i was looking forward to something new

tl;dr TERA is nothing new and will be crap and probably grindy as fuck considering it's made by the gooks.
