Some or maybe none of you may remember 3 days ago I made a post about a stray pitbull following me and my dogs home after I took my dogs out for a quick jog. Well first I callously said its not my problem to care for the dog or call the pound after she started taking residence under the bushes of my neighbor's house (which she still does at night even though my neighbor still hasn't noticed). Well after the first day I felt bad for this pit because she's bene used for breeding the thrown out so I started feeding her 2 days ago and leaving her a bucket of water outside my house.

pic related its her.

i was jealous of my neighbor for having a bunny when I was kid, so one day I made sure they weren't around, sneaked into their front porch where they kept him, took him out of his cage and just started throwing it in every direction possible.

it died the next day.

I found some dead kittens in the gutter. I was so upset by it.
Since they were in a bag and someone had obviously thrown them there.
Two of them were alive though!

Took the kittens home. One of them died right away on the drive home. The other I nursed it from a bottle and mixed formula with kitten wet food.

Her nipples will never not look like that now.

But she has a beautiful head and body shape. With some baths and a good few more feedings she would be a good looking pit.

I just have such a soft spot for pits. Look at the wide smiling face. .

A good number of people must have taken in strays and street animals at some point.

I would also like to listen to their stories.
>> Anonymous 01/11/10(Mon)16:17 No.600280
I've taken in strays before, and if there's cat around my house, I try to feed them.

The simultaneously most horrible and best story I heard about people helping animals happened at my work. I worked at a drug store next to the local theater, and 2 young girls came in and pooled all their change to buy a bag of kitten food. They were obviously scrounging for money, so I asked them about it, and they told me that they had just come from the movies, and that when they came out, they heard meowing and followed it to the back of the theater. There they found a box full of kittens. Which wouldn't have been so horrible, except that someone had duct taped the kittens to the box.

The girls were taking them home with them and were going to try to get them out of the box without hurting them too much, and then they were going to try to give them a home. I would have loved to have taken one myself, but at the time I wasn't able to have pets.

It made me extremely sad to think that someone would tape kittens to a box. I mean, why? If you don't want them, at least give them somewhat of a chance by just letting them go.

Yeah, her mammaries are pretty dried up, and to be honest, quite nasty. At first it was hard to get her to eat and drink because she was afraid of me even getting near her but now she has that famous pit wide smile and its pretty heart warming to see that. If I could afford to keep her I would but sadly I can't.

I hear stories like this all the time as well.

I know it shouldn't surprise me, but every time I hear something like that story you told it is like a fresh kick to the face.

It is always so surprising, I think because I just couldn't do something like that.

I adopted a dog from the pound years ago that had drooping nipples. Worse then the dog in your pic. I know other people really get grossed out by them, but really it isn't something that bothers me or I really take notice of.

So it isn't too outrageous to think someone would adopt her if you called the local spca.
>> SuperKing !!Tr/sUCdrW 01/11/10(Mon)16:30 No.600293

That is a chance yes, but I know i'd feel bad if I sent her to a pound and it turned out they euthanized her. I rather just have her live on the streets and me feed her that way. I know I may get some flac for this but I bought a 10 dollar bag of food from a grocery store so she can at least have some food.

heh, dogs don't do well on the streets.

Only really the best and smartest live well and they don't live long.

There are many dangers cars, disease, other dogs.
The most important being other people, people are cruel.
She will probably end up getting heart worm within a year or so. Stray dogs very rarely don't get it eventually.

The pound is very helpful, when they come to get the dog just take the guys card and ask if they don't mind calling you when it gets close to her time to be euthenized and no one is adopting.

One day I was at PetSmart buying some food my my Chihuahua. I was with my GF, and while I'm looking at the food, she's over at the other end of the store, looking and d'awwing over some dogs they had up for adoption; rescued stray dogs. She wanted to get another one; I told her we couldn't afford it; long story short, I ended up getting a black Lab/Shar Pei mix, and hes the best damned dog ever. Among other things, when I brush my teeth, he will come into the bathroom and lay down and wait patiently for me to finish. He has all the typical Lab traits; very obedient, very smart, learns quickly, etc. He's a bundle of energy too, holy fuck, he never gets worn out.

When I moved cross-country out of my hometown to University, I couldn't find a way to ship my lovely Red Eared Slider out with me. I had to leave him with mom. A few months after I arrived in my new home, I was in an fish specialty shop dicussing reptiles and the cashier told me a story of woe her friend and her friends' turtle were experiencing. Friend would had to get rid of the turtle soon, one way or another, because she was moving across the country. But unlike me, she had no mom as a back-up plan. I knew what I had to do; I called Friend and I had a new turtle by nightfall! He now has his own kiddy pool and a rock stairway to get in and out of the pool as he chooses!
A few months after that, I finally got in contact with a reliable reptile handler and had my 1st turtle shipped out for the entirely worthwhile price of $200. He now also has a kiddy pool.

I know it's not as epic as your stories of heroism in saving strays, but I saved that turtle from what may have been death; I think her last option was release into the wild, which you all know is bad news for everyone.

Having found a bloodied chicken in the middle of town during winter, I wrapped it up in my jacket and took it house to house (the vets weren't open). I literally had to bring him home and keep him for a week. He really stuck and he was REALLY loud, but hell, I love animals.

Never again, though.

I love all your stories of stray animals!
Very heart warming.

When I first rented my first condo. I had a front yard and a sorta backyard as well! I decided I now was making enough money and had enough space for a small dog, or bird, or cat.

I never really shopped around for anything but one day I am driving through this one part of bakers field.
People would dump unwanted dogs there for some reason.
I don't know why they didn't drop them off at the shelter. But you could always see one or two abandoned dogs who got hit by cars on the side of the road dead.

Anyway, one night I am coming home late, only one on the road, and there is a mixed terrier sitting in the middle of the road.
I stop and call the dog and it runs right over to me. He was really skinny and dirty....so I picked him up and put him in the back of my car.

Cleaned him up, took him to the vet the next day for a check up and check for a microchip.
Then took him to the store and got him a bed, food, toys leash, collar and a name.
He just fit so easily into my life like he had always been there.
He died 5 years later from stomach cancer. But his collar hangs around the corner of my bedroom mirror.

i'm sure you're all tired of hearing this story, but for those of you who aren't:
we moved into a new apartment in aug 2008. w/in a week we had this big orange tom cat sleeping on our chair in our patio, we started feeding him on occasion. the nights started to get cold so i took an old tupperware container, cut a hole in it, put in some old blankies and he slept in that thing night and day. a few days over a year ago we hadn't seen him in a few days, once night we hear strange mewing outside and find him hopping after these other strays around our door. we finally got to him to find a huge abscess between his toes. the neighbors, who he actually belonged to, refused to get him vet treatment when we showed him what was wrong. they thought putting neosporin on it would be fine. $600 later and many vet visits (he almost lost his foot at one point), he's a fully functioning part of our family (3 other cats). he's neutered, up to date on shots and you can't tell there was anything wrong w/ his foot unless it's pointed out.

That's nice you feed her, but I recommend searching her a good home using the internet. First, assure she will not get 'kidnapped' by your local dog catcher by putting a colar on her. Second, in two weeks, spay her using one of your local shelters- who maybe could find her a foster home.
Since she's a mixed pit, some very shady guys would probably want her, so I think disabling her abilty to make puppies+ a careful filtering of the people who'll call about her would give a promising home. Don't forget to charge for the adoption, too- the price of the spay+vaccinations. Shows that the adopters are serious. And maybe she got lost? Checked for a chip yet?

Stuff I did- well, I found about 5 dogs who got lost to their owners and returned them, found some a home, I volunteer at a shelter, feed stray cats, found two sparrow chicks who lived to tell the tale, etc etc.

We have to high a population of people and animals in socal to waste people on just driving around looking for strays. Most of them get called out for problems and don't have time to drive around.

I got my cat when his mother decided to nurse him in my parking space. He was three weeks old, she was, say, 9 months old, and he weighed more than she did. No siblings, and she abandoned him crying to follow me upstairs to my apartment (since a, she was a bad mother, being a kitten herself, and b, she couldn't lift him). I took them both in even though I wasn't allowed cats on my lease that ended a month and a half later. Fed 'em up to size and kept the kid. (Couldn't keep the mother for roommate reasons at the next place a month and a half later.)

My second one is a kitten that got attacked by another animal out on my back deck. I was in the house and heard this awful screaming noise. I ran outside and there was this poor kitten flopping around on my deck leaving blood everywhere.
I ran back inside, grabbed some old towels, wrapped him up, put him in a box and called the vet's office (where luckily my cousin works!). My cousin answered the phone and I told her about it and brought him in on an emergency.
Whatever attacked him had pierced the base of his skull with it's teeth and they weren't sure he'd live but he pulled through!
Sadly he's now got some motor skills problems (he wobbles a little when he walks and occasionally falls down) but other than that he's a content and spoiled house cat too.

My mom was feeding a stray cat about 2 years back that had been wandering the neighborhood. Being the wonderful woman she is, she was wondering where it was after not seeing it for a couple of days. Found it under her neighbor's porch very much in labor. Brought it under her screened in porch and let it had the kittens there. Litter of 6, raised and neutered all of them and found them all homes. Me and my now-ex took 2 of them in.

When we broke up, I kept the kids. Roast Beef and Molly. Picture included.

Week later my sister found a stray kitten under my mom's car one day when it was raining. Very much now my parent's third cat now.

Of all the domesticated animals, pit bulls are surely the ones that deserve to be wiped off the face of the planet. Maybe they don't deserve to be killed per se, but there should be no more pure-breed pit bulls. Fucking menaces they are.

This is her again after I came home from taking my dogs out to run in the mountains. Just fed her some of my dog's Wellness Core food. She of course ate it very fast. Before I call a shelter/pound/Villalobos I decided to ask people I know if they're looking to adopt a dog. Perhaps craigslist, not sure if that's a good idea however.

BTW, on advice from some /an/imal lovers, I've just sent an email to the Villalobos Rescue Center.

>Hello Villalobos Rescue Center. My name's ____ and I have a question for you. Recently there has been a stray female pit bull that has taken residence in front of my house. She's very calm with no aggressive tendencies whatsoever. For the past 3 days I've been feeding her and given her water. Sadly though I can't keep her since I have 2 dogs of my own (miniature poodle and a pit bull.) I've only recently heard of your organization from watching some youtube videos and figured yours would be my first option in asking. Would you please pick up this dog? I honestly wouldn't want her taken to a shelter for fear of her being euthanized. My assumption is that whoever threw her out on the street must've used her for breeding purposes and possibly threw her out after she gave birth.

oh oh I got a story.

my mom was a heavy drug user before she passed away of OD. But she really loved animals. So one day one of her druggie friends calls up and asks if she wants to go to the lake. so my mom's like "yeah coo that's sweet" and she comes over and they hop in the car.

cue meowing.

so they start to back up and my mom's like euggh, what? because there's these little mewls. She looks back and there's three loose tiny kittens in the back seat. they hardly stood on their own. No box or blanket, one had been tossed off the seat because of a sudden stop. So my mom is like "dude, why are we going to the lake?" And the lady, a druggie, looks at her straightfaced and says "well I have to go drown these kittens and it's kind of a downer to do it alone."

My mom was pissed. She stormed out of the car with all three kittens. pic related, these are the two we kept, Kyumei and Bogart. Bog was awesome, not that Kyu isn't but Bog was so cash, such a cool little dude. He got lifted from the back yard one day this summer. :< I hope he's okay.

His little white nose is brown in this picture because mom had just walked in with them, and I had thought they were dirty. turned out to be blood from fleas.

I was going to go through each individual nice post and point out how wonderful you are for taking in poor sickly defenseless animals and giving them good homes, but there are a lot of you in this thread. You're all good people.

The most recent of our cat stories. My partner was at work and he went outside to wash off the windows or something. Out of the corner of his eye he sees something scuttle away and start squeaking pitifully. It was this one tiny little kitten. He took her inside and washed her off in the sink. It took a while for the water to run clear, she was so very very dirty. He found a box, abandoned work and drove her home. The first vet receptionist he called didn't seem terribly interested, and could only get him an appointment 2 days from then - I told him this was totally unacceptable and told him to cancel it and call somewhere else...

pic is her immediately after he brought her home, unfortunately all they had in the house at the time was some lunch meat.

So he gets this little creature to the vet. She is around 8 weeks old, but so dehydrated and malnourished that she's so small. She had eye infections, upper respiratory infections, fleas, worms, ear infections and mites - the whole range of things that can go wrong with a stray cat. She couldn't even open her eyes when he first found her they were so infected. My partner now also has mad rep with the vet, all the vets and staff there absolutely fawned over her, gave her her first toy, and were so happy someone had taken the time (and money) to try to help this sickly little thing. Apparently she was an absolute darling too, but I'm pretty sure they would think that of any tiny kitten they get there. In a nutshell, she was sickly, she's taken a hell of a lot of work and a fair chunk of cash, but she is now one very happy and absolutely wonderful spoilt lump.

pic is her as of a couple weeks ago, and incidentally my favourite of her pics.

I was very hesitant about saving a chick under a bush once. Never saved it, it was there in the morning and in the afternoon.

Either I save it, and release it and die anyway (do they learn how to fly by themselves?) after troubling myself and my family with the mess. Or I just leave it alone chirping all day for a cat to eat it.

I lived in apartments in my college town.

There was a really sweet tomcat (all grey with darker grey stripes) that would hang around and greet people as they walked in. He was well fed and neutered, but couldn't legally belong to anyone because of the No pet policy.

People fed him though. For a while.

After a bit he started getting skinnier. It got colder too, and I started feeding him with what little money I had left over. On the cold nights I'd let him stay in my den.

My other roommate ended up taking him and getting him vaccinated, and the cat "Wolf" now lives with him. unfortunately he has FIV, but hopefully that won't affect his quality of life much.

I am a parrot lover.
I grew up around parrots and seeing them always makes me smile and remember my family back home in California.

Parrots need so much attention I didn't think any rescue would allow me to adopt.
And I didn't want to buy one.

I had been living in Massachusetts for awhile.
I needed a new toaster oven and saw a good ad on craigslist.
I contact the guy and he says for me to meet his mother at her home and she will work a deal out with me.

I meet her and everything is going well, but I think she wants to much for the toaster oven, so she offers to show me an older one in the garage.

We walk into the garage and look over the toaster oven, I notice an old bird cage in the corner and I immediately focus on it.
I then see movement and realize there is a bird in that tiny old cage. A bird sitting in a dark, cold garage.
I walk over to it and see it is a white fronted amazon, I don't see any food in the cage and the water looked dirty and horrible. When I approached he backed into a corner and started hissing and lunging.

So I ask about the parrot. She says the parrot belonged to her mother but the women died. The parrot meant so much to the dead lady they decided to keep it.

I told her I would give her 200 for him and I walked out of there with still no toaster oven but a half mad and feral parrot who spent the last 5 years alone in a garage. The women couldn't remember what his name had been.

I got him a huge cage that sat at the front window looking out onto the street and perches all over the house to sit on. I got him tons of toys, and good food.

The first few months were hard, but we eventually got to a point where I could handle him. In a year he started talking and he would happily sit on my shoulder and sing old German songs I had never heard before in my ear.
I ended up naming him Hans because he only spoke words in German.

>>601133
From the age of the women along with her describing her mothers age I have to guess Hans is at the very least 35 years old. Also he is most likely an imported wild caught parrot since he has no aluminum band that shows his hatch date.

My avian vet does yearly check ups though and says hans is perfectly healthy. We were really worried about his liver at first but he has improved.

Other larger species can live longer even.

I found my cat about 6 years ago. She was a stray and found her way to my porch on a cold and snowy December night. She was so small and skinny and I felt bad because it was cold out, so I let her in for the night and gave her a temporary place to stay and some food and water. The next day, I set her outside and kind of shooed her away, but she walked back inside, so I decided to keep her.

When I was in middle school on the way home one day, I saw some movement on the side of the road from the car. It was a busy street, and I'm not sure what drew may attention to it, but I asked my mom if she would pull over.

We parked in a nearby neighborhood and walked to where I saw the movement. It was two long-haired kittens, one male and one female. They were pretty thin and we checked around to see if their mother was there, but didn't find anything.

They were immediately friendly, and came up to us meowing and let us pick them up. Just as we got back to the car with them, it started raining.

We took them to a nearby vet and had them checked out, then ended up keeping them.

Pic related. The yellow one is the boy and the gray one is the girl. Sawdust and Cinders. The one in the middle is Sherbet, we got her from the SPCA in 2001.

I never felt the urge to hurt small animals when I was a kid.

In fact, my older brother use to pick on the cat by grabbing its arm and twisting it until it cried and I would lunge at him and bite and scratch until he stopped hurting the cat and let it go.

Well I've found a mother calico cat, in a box, with 5 kittens, in the baking Georgia sun on the side of a highway, with cat food in the box. took them home, the kittens were sick, but eventually got better, 2 went missing, and we gave 2 to a family friend, and We still have one now, though he's become a bit of a tom cat and visits pretty infrequently.

Another cat that my family and I found on the side of the road had a pretty hard damn life. My mom worked for the vet's office in town and someone brought him in, he and another kitten were found next to their dead mother (who was hit by a car) and she had began rotting, so he had sores on his sides, we took him home and nursed him back to health. Then one day our pilot light went out, and as my dad relit it, the cat, (Meow-cat was his name) walked infront of it and there was like a small explosion, and he inhaled alot of hot smoke, messing with his head and damaging his lungs, but he survived. Later he had a really bad urinary tract infection and they effectively cut his pecker off. He started having seizures when we moved, and we assume it was because of the earlier smoke inhalation, but one day we let him out and he didn't come back. He was a sweet cat though, he used to try and suckle at a fake bearskin rug, and he was once in my neighbor's yard walking towards their kids for attention, while the kids screamed and ran away, shooting him with a dollar store water gun.

I haven't done much to stray animals. There aren't any here. I do feed wild birds and hedgehogs though. One particularly cold spell during spring all the flies came inside and I took them out for a pied flycatcher to eat and kept doing that whenever I'd see flies indoors -- the bird gobbled them up from the top of the bird feeder.

I miss that flycatcher, he was awesome. Kicked many a sparrow's arse.

...this thread~♥
This little girl, i just found her this morning on garden in front of my building...she was meowing since last night, when i thought that, that kitten had to be kind of...big enough to survived by itself...then this morning like about 10 am, we still keep hearing the strong meowing (we live in a 4store building, in the last floor...so you can tell how strong was she meowing) and decided to take a look out of the windows since it's daylight and could see clearly.

And there she was ;__; all alone since last night meowing of hunger and cold.

My mother does not like cats, and she was so heart broken she let me get her up the apartment and take care of her. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow so she can get checked and see how old is she and to see if there is everything good with here, i'm sure not more than 5 days or so.

Sadly i cannot keep her, my family dislikes cats, they just allow me taking her of her while i find a home for it.

Pits are the best dogs ever.

All they have been programmed to do is loyally follow their human masters to a point.

The only reason some are "vicious" is because stupid niggers get ahold of them and ruin them.

My wife & I planned on going to a particular resturaunt. Everything seemed to be against us that night, as the resturaunt was closed, then a roadtrip had to be cancelled, and then plan B was nixed for whatever reasons. We ended up saying screw it, lets just go to TGIFridays and be done with it. We were starving.

As we pulled in, the very first parking spot had opened. Sweet! Prime realty. The spot right up front. Which was extra awesome because it was raining alot. Well, as we get out of the car, we hear crying. We investigate, and find that its coming from the bush in the landscaping right next to the parking spot. We rummage around in the bush, but its one of those shrubs that is so dense and tightly bound, that we cant very well get a good look. Plus it was dark.

We went inside and asked for a flashlight. An employee followed us to the shrub, and investigated with us. The crying became more like meowing, and we realized it was prolly a cat. We dove in, trying to spot it, but the brush was just too damn tight. So, i finally just stuck my hands in and tore an opening, revealing the beautiful little guy you see there. I stuck my hand in, got all cut up and pulled him to safety, getting a solid bite for my troubles. But as soon as I put that little guy up against me, he calmed down and snuggled up, and I fell in love.

Unfortunately, Im broke enough to not be able to pay vet bills to get him checked out, which would be necessary because I already have a cat. So, we petitioned the employees, and a delightful, openly and flamboyantly gay dude came to claim it. Someone jokingly mentioned that he should name it "Friday", but he didnt like it. He did, however, say he wanted to name him something that would always remind him of how/where he was acquired.

I suggested "Straight Couple".

He didnt laugh.

When I was a kid, me and my friend saved a hedgehog. We found it while we were playing, it was stuck on a soccer goal and curled up into a ball.
We got our parents, and my mother put on a pair of gloves and really carefully cut out the hedgehog from the goal. The poor little thing was choking in it, there was a noose really tight on it's neck, but we got it off without hurting it. Little fella recovered right away.

I've had a lot of pets in my life, only killed one and I've always felt bad about it. I was about 12 and it was a gerbil. I kept throwing him into the air and then catching him, it was only a game, but one time I threw him too high and then missed as he came back down. He broke his back. :<

Actually, the cat I've had since I was a kid was a stray. 2 weeks till Christmas, my family heard a tiny squeaking outside in our hallway of our 2nd floor apartments, We had no neighbors, so we knew it wasn't anything we expected.
So I open the door to investigate, and immediately a tiny head pops itself in the crack, and it's this tiny little kitty. He immediately came inside, went straight for the plate of sloppy joe my brother was eating, ate a blob of it, and went to sleep right on the floor.

We had to keep him.
Today, he's my fat boy (he's not fat anymore but still, he's "Fat Boy")

This.
Pits shouldnt be banned or exterminated. but they should probably be a little harder to get than most dogs.
It would solve alot of problems. Pit lovers could still have them, and the horrible owners might not bother.

i LOVE when kittens look at people like that

i almost forgot about seymore the cat. at our old apartment, we were the only tenants w/ cats so when this tiny booger and flea infested kitten was hanging around, the manager's daughter brought him up to us. poor thing you could see every rib, his feet were so cold you could feel them through your sweat pants, and his eyes/nose were boogered shut, looked to be about 6 wks old, but he ate solid food like a champ so we think he was actually about 10wks but just hella tiny. i didn't have the money to take him to the vet, but we did home remedies and got most of everything cleared up, a little staining from the eye boogers was all that was left, prob put on a good 3 pounds. after about a month we knew we needed to find him a home, our other cats had finally gotten use to him, but 4 cats in a tiny ass apartment just wasn't working. a girl from one of my classes took him. on the drive to take him to her, he wouldn't stay in the box, so i let him walk around my car and chill on my dashboard or shoulder while driving. the looks on people's faces was hilarious. they took him to a vet right away, she told me he just needed some antibiotics for a few days to get rid of the last of his cold, but otherwise he was in great shape, haven't seen him since, but i just know he's fat, happy and healthy.

Thank you! I still wonder how that happened, she just appeared magically in the middle of the front yard of my building monday night... probably the mother chancing her nest? maybe a kid? maybe not? D: anyways i just couldn't left the poor little girl there craying for help.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPE my mother and aunt grow some heart and love for her, so i can get my dream of having a kitty come true. I alredy love her so much.

I took her to the vet today! was check and doctor said she was totally healthy! :) no weird hole in the mounth, nice clear breathing, good heart beat, and totally free of any unhealthy skin thing, not even irritation of any kind! :), she might be from 5 to 8 days old.
The only thing, (and the mayor factor that made me take her to the vet apart from being a responsable owner) is that she did not defecated tuesday, so, i was afraid she was constipaded, she might not, but we don't know either if she didn't had enough food o what she ate before i found her. Anyway, i just gave her a medicine to check that up and soften her brown thing ;) just to be sure she does it this day or tomorrow morning.

I was taking a walk in the park and notice kids dropping something into the pond.

I come over to see what they are doing and they bolt like I was the police.
I look into the water and see something in a bag jerking.
I reach into the dirty pond/lake and pull the bag out.

There was a ferret in the bag and it was sneezing and coughing. it had its legs hog tied together.
I went to the car and cut the tape off.
I didn't know if I should at first. I live in California and ferrets are illegal. So I had only heard of ferrets I hadn't actually ever held one. So I was afraid it would attack me or something.

He was rather sweet, with strange panda coloring.

I couldn't keep him ,obviously, being in cali so I called up my uncle who is sort of an animal freak and runs a magician store. He said he knew how to keep ferrets and he would love one. So he drove from Las Vegas to my home and took the ferret with him back to Las Vegas.

Why you kitty hasn't gone potty. Mother cats usually lick their young kittens rear/genitals to stimulate them to go. You'll have to emulate this using a warm wash rag after she eats. Do it gently, and she should go. I've no idea how long you'll have to do this for. may want go to use some google fu on that.
>> Crazy Cat Lady 01/13/10(Wed)18:14 No.601797
>>601772
you need to stimulate her after feeding. you can look this up on google but it's basically mimicking what the mother cat does, take a cotton ball and just rub it on her butt for a few minutes several times a day. after a few days she'll start going on her own, it'll be a few weeks until she can be box trained.
keep at the good work and i'm sure your mom and aunt will come around once she gets into her cute playful kitten mode

Thanks both of you guys!
That already knew it (i have been reading about cats like for so long since i wanted a cat for myself D:, and wanted to know how they behave and what they needed to be happy, so i kind of read a lot of things including taking cares of babies), but since i have done it since the first time i feed her (tuesday 10 am, i feed her every 3/4 hours, when she asks for it), but she only pissed, and pissed and pissed.

So being she with me on a second day, and read some things on some forums (some said i was not healthy and normal they didn't poop frecuently or at least twice or once a day) i was worried. Specially since i didn't know if she was sick or so.

The doctor check her anus, (i was worried she might had been like...closed there, silly me and since i've heard cats sometimes throw babies that are sick, maybe she was because was constipaded and didn't do her thing and mom said "fuck it, i'm not going to be licking your butt all this days until you die, so i'm gonna make it faster for both of us") and didn't know how long has she been like that.

Doctor told me, it could be:
1. She COULD be really constipaded
2. She didn't ingested enough food like to feel ready to poop when i stimulated her.

So, told me to, wait until she pooped (wich could be dangerous if she had hard feces already and for a couple of days before i got her) and then let it be, and if she didn't (come on, two days eating every 3 hours? what you got there girl a black hole!? that has to come out!) gave her the medicine. So i just did a couple of hours.

The doctor told me she had her belly a little too much fat + no pooping in a hole day, no no for me, so decided and bought the medicine.

Just a really small dosis every 12 hours, i'm hoping she poops next feeding or at least tomorrow, if she hasn't give her another dosis, and so on until she poops. That the only thing that has me on nerves with this little girl.

This one time when I was a kid, my family went out for a picnic or some shit like that. Me and my mom and dad. Chillin.
We're driving along this dusty, dry summer road when I notice that one of the rocks didn't quite look like a rock.
We stop the golf cart and I jump out. It's a Spiny Softshell Turtle, dried out from the heat. The water was a good 3 blocks away.
I pour out the popcan my mom was drinking from, and dash to fill it up with the water.
I get the turtle rehydrated with that, and move it into the shade close to the water.
I've seen the exact same turtle multiple times in the area. I can swim up to it and it will just chill there.
Pic related, its a Spiny Softshell. Not the one I helped, but yeah. Same type.

My university takes care of homeless cats found on campus. You see them regularly on campus, and are very tolerant of students. The library feeds them, and all of them are fixed and are in good health. I have never seen a student abuse or mistreat them either. You can see them lying in the walk paths and the students just go right around them, or see students just walk up to them to pet them. All of them are marked on the ear to show that they are residents. They also try to teach the surrounding community about responsibility and humane practices with animals.

There is one kitty named Ruth who likes to hang around the Math and Engineering building who will just walk up to you when you stick your hand out to pet her. I usually pet her during the evening on my way home from class.

Pic related, its her. Just taken from the campus organization's website so its pretty small.

I volunteered to file and answer phones at the LAPD station in watts while I was in highschool.

They have a great system there and I was real surprised at it.
They have sheds behind the parking lot that houses feral cats.
Every year they pay for a van to come down that gives all the cats the yearly shots and to get cats that are not fixed the surgery.

The cats are fed as well. The cats in turn serve a purpose by hunting rats and mice in the neighborhood and in the station.
But they don't have litter after litter.
Most the people working in the station, both civilian and police have rescued and taken home at least one cat.

Ghetto folk would also leave boxes of puppies and such in the lobby and almost everyone at the station had at least one dog from people doing this.

When I was little I found a bird outside my house. My parents helped me feed it and we kept it a couple weeks. After that my parents decided we should release it(even if I didnt want to), so we let it go in our backyard and it flies up into a tree.

A day later I hear a bunch of crows outside and go to look. Apparently our neighbors cat had caught it and left its dead body out in the yard next to ours.. the crows were trying to eat the remains.

I didn't talk to my parents about it, but i picked it up with some gloves and gave it a proper burial/little headstone near our garden while they were still at work :/

I change my mind, I retract my comment. I'm from /b/ and /r9k/ you see. I've decided against corrupting the seemingly only happy place on 4chan with unnecessary troll-ery.

Oh, yes they've become good chums. I think it's the reason why she was able to stop being such a sad sally. She was too scared to be aroudn anyone but as son as she saw me running with my dogs she followed me to my neighborhood. I've let them all play in the front yard and they're great. Plus they all ran together already about 3 hours ago.

It would really leave me with even less money than I have right now and I pay for my own schooling, bills etc. kind of hard you know? Even if I split costs, it would still be less. I would much rather have someone give her a good home.

This is why Canada is awesome.

Whenever I'm visiting Ottawa, I always stop by to see the kitties and donate as much change that I have on me to their well being. I've actually managed to be there to talk to the guy that's currently running it, and he is a really sweet old man.

It makes me happy to see on the Wiki page that a lot of the cats have been adopted out. And I think it's great that the Canadian government allows space for this to happen right on the premises of one of their most important government buildings.

I'm American, btw. I don't know if the states have anything like this going on, but I think it would be awesome if they did.

So like once a stray cat adopted me. It was around six years ago when we were moving house out of the fucking city and into the green. We had to carry all our stuff out of the old apartment so it was a long and tedious process and the new house was vacant most of the time. When we finally finished we noticed a lot of pawprints around the house and sure enough, the stray showed up as soon as we started using the kitchen. It was a black and white tomcat in very bad condition. His eyes and ears were full of shit and dried blood so it was pretty gross at first. So we made a cup of camomile tea and started cleaning away. The animal was very tolerant. He even let me clean the inside of his ear which cats fuckhate and resist whenever they can. Thankfully I was apprenticed to a porcelain painter so I knew about soft touches and was happily rewarded with purring. Once we cleaned the cat up he was fine. The crud didn't come back in his ear and his eyes and nose stayed clean. We also fed and groomed him regularry, so disease never had a chance. The only problem was that he was tomcat and fought and fucked everything he could. But otherwise he was an intelligent and loving pet. Maybe it wasn't right to let him keep his penor, but it just seemed cruel to neuter him.

He died one year ago fat and happy, but slightly oversexed.

Three things,

How could you stand the spraying?

Neutering removes the testicles, not the penis.

And don't feel bad about him sleeping around, you control fertility rates by removing females from the gene pool, not males.

Didn't do it indoors. He was either smart or strange but he never sprayed indoors.
