Sure, there's nothing wrong with dense or jargon-laden writing if it's appropriate to the subject matter. A biology textbook is going to have a lot of fancy terms, and they're really necessary since each one has to refer to a very specific thing.

In this case though, the language exists to reduce clarity rather than enforce it. You could say that it's intentionally difficult in order to mask the fact that he doesn't really have anything important to say. That's when you know when something is overly academic, when the text is trying to fill a certain amount of space rather convey information.

You know what I've never understood

I can understand you guys spending your watching the anime you do. What I don't get though, is how in the world some of you do it..while living with your parents.

Being way too old, lying about actively searching for a job, preventing them from selling the house/going on a big vacation..and most of all just leeching off them in general. Why do you guys do this? How can you live with it? I'd feel shame and guilt if not for me and how I'm wasting my life, but for them and what I'm doing to them.
